4 Easy Steps in Getting Your Kids Organized for School

Going back to school means lots of stuff: homework, backpacks, school supplies, sports gear, and more. Help your kids keep it all organized.

Kids learn by doing so don’t do the clean-up and organization for them.

Keep labeled file folders, one for each family member, in a handy location. Use them as mailboxes–items from school go into them every afternoon and outgoing items are removed in the morning.

Designate baskets or bins for toys and sports gear. Have the kids make drawings to label them.

Put items where you’ll use them: homework supplies in the homework spot, boots and hats near the exit. Make sure that shoes are left by the front door to prevent that last-minute shoe-search madness.

Don’t forgot to have them bring their own soap to school. I don’t trust the soap they have there. Better to have a personal soap.

    Great idea! Why not?
