It was about 1994 when I last worked for anyone else, and that involved a very long 2 to 4 hour commute to London, and then the same back again. It was exhausting. It was such a relief to be able to give up that sort of life and work from home on my own business in England, first in rural Sussex and then on the Dorset coast with a beautiful sea view from my window. Once you have worked from home it is very difficult to imagine not doing so.

Terminal 2 and 3 has overnight parking available which only costs P50/night so it is much cheaper. I've been doing this for years and haven't experienced any problems, guardiyado pa nung mga guards dun. If I am using domestic airport naman, I leave my car in Terminal 3 and just get a cab to take me to domestic, still cheaper that tha 300+ per night of Park 'N Fly.

I think there is no harms in trying new things and change along with the technology. They are ofcourse strangers and so you are for them. Just like the world has good and bad, Internet also does. So its all how you deal with them. For a while you might act like a stranger but if you like the person who know he/she could be your best friend. I have many good friends on facebook, they were strangers before and now i talk to them like i do with my other friends.

Ah! That is true. It's really hard to tell sometimes with people who you only met online.
How do I deal with strangers? What should I call it...? I guess you can say, I take the approach of careful optimism. Meaning I try to think positive about people, that they mean well and are honest. But at the same time, keep in the back of my mind the possibility that things may not actually be what they seem. So I keep an eye out for, for example, inconsistencies in what they say. And if I do notice anything like that, I ask them, give them a chance to explain. I think I'm a reasonable enough person.

As for my side, I'm actually a very private person. And my fb friends know that. There are a lot of things about me I do not tell them, but those things I do decide to share are all true. When I am asked my age, I tell my age. When I am asked about anything, I answer as honestly as I can. If what I'm asked is something I do not want to answer, I do not lie just so that people will stop asking. Instead, I tell them, 'I'm sorry but I don't want to answer that question. I have my reasons. I hope you understand. I can only say this much...' In turn, I would also understand if they want to keep certain things private.
Pictures. I don't even think I have any actual pictures uploaded in fb except for that of my dog and the family car. My profile picture is not an actual picture, but a cartoon. (Actually, not a cartoon but a screenshot of one of my characters in a game I used to play.) I'd much rather have that than a picture of a person. I mean to say, I'd much rather someone puts up a drawing than put up a picture of someone else, like an actor or actress, or someone's next door neighbor. Because at least with a drawing, I can't say you were trying to pass yourself off as someone else.
So that's the way I'd prefer it actually. If you're going to put up something that's not actually you, make it so that it is obvious. That way, it doesn't look like you're trying to hide something. Because it's obvious! (I hope I'm making sense...)
For instance, my name on fb isn't even my name. But you'll know it when you see it. I'm not passing myself off as... say for example, Samantha Johnson or something like that. My name there is Amfromsage Nothunter. =P Obviously not an actual name right? It's also game related like my profile picture. (Read it as: I am from Sage, not Hunter.) Some game friends know my first name. Some non-game friends also know my first name. (But it's nowhere on my profile.) Only a couple know my real whole name. But for sure, they all know that my name on fb is definitely, absolutely not my real name.

I hope all that made sense. =)

That's good. we're also working towards staying at home to personally supervised our business so we can have more time for family and leisure. But at this point, corporate slave muna, until the right time for being WAHM.

Be more thankful!

You're so lucky to have a flexible work schedule.

I hope more companies will consider giving their employees the opportunity to work from home.

With the kind of technology we have now, it's really possible and it would be beneficial to both the employer and employee.

Happy weekend.

You and your husband, both are lucky to find such jobs. My sister is also an IT professional and she also works from home whenever she does not feel like going to work. But she can't do it once every week, anyways working from home in your own leisure time is fun.
